Small Business Saturday is a national event that encourages holiday shoppers to shop local brick and mortar businesses on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. This year Small Business Saturday is November 25th.
I want to be a Neighborhood Champion this year! What does that mean? It means I’d like to rally our town’s businesses to participate in Small Business Saturday by signing up and then promoting the event through social media and fliers/posters at their place of business. And guess what, it’s free to you!
If ten or more businesses participate Visit Woodland can set up an authorized Welcome Table for shoppers and help to promote the businesses who have signed up. Basically, I would hand out a list of all the participating stores, provide a Small Business Saturday tote and a few treats for them to enjoy while they shop.
So, who is in? If you are, here’s what I need from you…
- Sign up by creating the promotional materials through Small Business Saturday’s website | HERE
- Let Visit Woodland know you’ve signed up | HERE
If I receive 10 or more businesses letting me know they are ready to help promote their own business I will follow through with my application to become a NEIGHBORHOOD CHAMPION.
Looking forward to holding up my end of the bargain!
