Today is the Yolo Microbrew Fest at the Yolo County Fairgrounds. This is the 3rd annual BrewFest with an introduction of the Farm to Glass concept.
What is a Farm to Glass concept, you ask? Good Question! The idea is to use locally sourced ingredients to make the food and drinks you consume. The Yolo Microbrew Fest has incorporated this concept by showcasing Yolo County and surrounding area brewers and farmers.
“Yolo county is so rich in agriculture. We grow hops, rice, barley, and everything you need to brew beer. Plus other things like olive oil, honey, tomatoes. Anything that can come from the farm into the glass.” – Duane Ewing, BrewFest Chairman
